Still intact, although old and weather beaten, the one-time entertainment and social center of the Comstock stands as a guardian overlooking the town and valley that once held up to 40,000 people. Many of the colorful early residents enjoyed the talented stars that graced the stage: Maude Adams, Edwin Booth, Buffalo Bill Cody and Lillie Langtry were among the many.
