So, I would need to request the updated section. Is this a good price or a great price, also do they have transportation to downtown (municipal bus). ? Thanks.

The #14A bus will take you downtown once an hour. The 14 goes by the GSR, the the 14A goes into the parking lot near valet parking.

Bus #5 doesn't go anywhere near the GSR, so aviod that one.

Vapa-
Where did you find this deal at? Does it specify your room type?

if you check out their website, they have a section called The Summit
at Grand Sierra Resort. These are much nicer rooms, but i am 99% sure, that is not what they will give you for that offer.

Sounds like a good price to me, although I have no experience with the rooms, either. They did put a lot of money into upgrades recently.

There is regular bus service to downtown:

If they follow basically the same HAN schedule as in previous years you might not need the bus. GSR has been the location of one of the main entertainment stages as well as on the route for some of the evening drives, so you could spend most of your time there.

I got it on Priceline but it came up a 3.5 * (after winning the bid) and my bid was 4*. The bidding started @ $28. Since,I bid 4* then yours truly should get the Summit. What was wanted was the Peppermill. THanks.

Well good luck! i hope you get a summit room. Laughing Alot of times when people bid on Priceline, they end up with the lesser of rooms. Just what i have read on forums and what not.

I called Priceline and told them the bid was 4* and they gave me 3.5*. So they looked at the options and told me they would give me my $ back, so I took it.

No the reservation no longer exists and it's not a bummer because I can try for a 4* again. What yours truly really wants in the Peppermill but will take the Summit & Atlantis in a NY second. Is the Eldorado really that great. Thanks for the feedback especially Alison.

I like the Eldorado. At least you would be downtown and within walking distance to the other hotels.

Can you rebid in a few days?
