So Dawn is at the Pep w/o me staying in the tuscany Tower. She says the rooms are great. Huge!! The bathroom is awesome, with a jetted tub and Plasma Tv. According to her, we are definetely staying in those rooms. Not a far walk at all to her.

When i talked to her last night after being there only 5 hours, she was up $2300.00. She had a 5x pay machine in the high limit area up to $800.00, then hit for $1500.00 Her mom was playing in the high limits also and was up about $1300.00 Not bad....

You didn't make it? How come? We certianly can understand your sadness. Especially while Dawn rakes in the big bucks. Were sad for you too. Maybe if you put your old spicy avatar back up we'd feel better.

Money is what it comes down to. This winter has been slow for my husband so money is tight. Cant afford to go blow money like i do right now. Laughing

My hubby says he will compensate me for missing out on this trip. We might try to sneak down before August for a quick trip. Who knows though.

I knew as soon as Dawn called me last night she must have won something. Im glad she did. Our last couple trips have been loosing trips. She deserves it!

Oh Ali, I feel so bad for you. Tell ya what...I'll personally go to the Peppermill on your behalf, play all your favorite machines and email you the winnings. Does that compensate for your not being here?

just got another offer today for two nites in Tuscan suites and 100 bucks in free play. Wife thinks I'm nuts to want to go. But she continued,"You ain't goin to Reno without me".

Sorry you didn't get a chance to make it. Sounds like your friend is having some good luck. I sure as hell didn't, all the way down to the pink dilapidated tower room...I remember those pics you posted from your last trip, I think I wound up in the same room! Didn't win squat either so it's good hearing someone did.

Hold out for August, your trip will be great then!

I thought you were staying in town until Thursday??? Did you leave early or did you just hop on a computer? Sorry to hear about your crappy room. that happens sometimes i guess. Same with loosing. You cant win every time. Sad

My friend and her mom had a great time. They loved the room. Dawn ended up coming home up $1000.00. Her mom lost everything. Oh well. Go big or go home!

Hey Alison, yeah we came back yesterday morning but a couple more days would've been nice. And it's great Dawn came back up ahead...I've been tempted to play those high limit machines, maybe next time...this trip I didn't quite win enough to move over to them! I recall reading one of their press releases where a man won $144,000+ there in the high limit area on a $5 Double Diamond.

I was actually pretty surprised I was able to get into Harrah's easily on such short notice, they took care of everything at the Total Rewards center and I didn't need to jump on the phone or internet. Those rooms weren't bad at all, it was actually kind of a nice change, never stayed downtown before, except for a few visits to the Sands.

Well, all is not lost for the Pep in the future. When I got home I received another mailer just like the old one that's good until May, but the prices were increased by $10. I'd just really like to stay there sometime without any surprises, and moving forward instead of backward in the Passport club would be nice. Maybe I'll find someone there who can explain it to me but according to them I still only have 150 points and need 500 for Bronze. After my trip last July I was up at 512 but didn't get an upgraded card, and it's been rolling downhill since then. I know there's been several posts here about how their system is mysterious. I talked with a man who hadn't been there in about 7 years, but randomly received an offer for 2 free nights in the Tuscan Tower in addition to $500 free slot play! I wonder how they work it?

Also forgot to mention that I didn't have any problems with any remodeling noise, although I guess I didn't stay long enough to find out. Maybe I'll be able to have another stay before the demolition is complete...$39-49 for an Imperial Suite is not a bad deal at all provided I can get in.

I was going to take some photos, remembered my camera but forgot the battery pack. Maybe I'll have it all together for the next trip out.

I guess that first night they were there, someone hit for $20,000 in the high limit slots. We don't usually play those. She was just planning on playing a $100.00 in them, and just happened to get lucky. Thats how it happens sometimes i guess. I told them to play your lucky machine, i dont know if they did or not.

Harrahs rooms are pretty decent i think as well. I have not stayed there in a couple years. I always get offers for reno and tahoe though.

I agree the Pep's slot club is very bizarre. My coin in last year was $67,000. Dawn usually has half that amount yet she gets the same offers as me. That makes no sense. I bet they send better offers to people who have not been there in awhile in hopes to lure them back. Thats my guess. They only have been sending my $100.00 in free play lately. I have recieved an offer for a few free nights in the new Tower as well. Thankfully i have my connection there and he gives us whatever we want. We got really lucky. Theres no way we play enough to earn what we do. I am very very thankful for that. I have known them to randomly bump you up a level. Thats what happened to me at first, and then Dawn. Im sure you will too get bumped up.
