Been here about 10 days and "lost my shirt".
But, that's fine as the weather is 80ish and basically windless.
Wonderful time to be here.

Things get tighter and tighter. Casinos have all cut back VP pay tables since last summer.
All the new owners are making changes but ALL FOR THE WORSE. I have seen nothing that is improved.

Promotions have been vastly downgraded.

At least FIVE of my favorite bartenders - at one bar alone - have been fired. Several more from that bar are MIA.

Had a new drink from Holland and it's even better than Heinekin.
It is based on the cocaine plant and is only available in a few places.
could it be coming to a town near you??? doubtful!!!!!!!!!!!

It's called Agwa and we mixed it with energy drink. Felt like the Eveready bunny all day without food.

I have gone beyond a few words, so I am outta here.

Check with lost and find for getting your shirt back. Smile I am going to guess the laid off bartenders you speak of are at the Golden Nugget? I have heard they are really laying off people, and not even opening some bars at all.

Check over at the Edgewater and Colorado Belle as they have added a few banks of quarter full pay video poker. They have signs to indicate over 100% return.

Which place has the Agwa? I remember seeing those bottles on my last trip to Laughlin, but I can't remember which bar. I think maybe I should stay away from that stuff anyway.

Are you still in Laughlin now?

80 degrees! I may have to figure Laughlin in on some of my winter Vegas trips. do they run the ferries year round?

It's been a few years since I've stayed in Laughlin, and I've only ever stayed at Flamingo (ugh!) and Colorado Belle, (we had the patio/river side, and it was pretty cool). Is there a place that gives you an $18 room AND clean sheets?

Nice trip report Hawk and sorry you lost your shirt! Hopefully your next one will be better. Haven't been to Laughlin yet but the folks have and they really liked it...much better payouts than LV they said.

So, I am going to investigate this Agwa...investigating various new energy drink mixers now that I don't get free Red Bull anymore!

OK...Hic! .. Oh Damn, I still don't see the poll!

Hey Hawk, don't leave us hangin' here. Your post raised more questions than answers. What are we supposed to vote on?

Sounds like your into the torrid heat and messing with uppers (Red Bull and Agwa). Life in the fast lane, Man!

On my first visit to Shooters our very famous Bartendressless served up shooters made with Red Bull and something else. I don't remember how pretty good they were.

This must be the stuff you're promoting? http://www.agwabuzz.com/

The comparison to Heinken seems a little apples and oranges to me, but I guess they're both liquids.

Uhhhh, Dave...how many of those Agwa drinks does it take to make apples and oranges appear to be liquids? Man, I gotta get some of that stuff.

Briefly, before I lose borrowed 'puter, I'll try to respond.

Stayed at Edge, Trop, and GN. The GN is gross with smoke-couldn't be in there much. Food at Jake's has further deteriorated.

Bartenders departed the Boiler Room in Belle which is where I spend most of my time cause it's non-smoking. Had the Agwa there and a bunch more neat drinks, such as 15 YO Scotch. Mmmmm, smooth, even though I don't like scotch, but the Drambuie helped it.

Also, new was the Alabama Slammer. Had too many of those.

Found the full pay bank in Belle, not in Edge. Couldn't win on them.
Never hit a Royal.

Departed a big loser. Now working north to Duck ?Country.

Ah, yes, the Poll. I tried several times to "get it up". Could not do so, so gave up in the interest of time.

Here's what it twas'.....
Would you like to join the Hawk in Laughlin??? Yes??? No???
And why or why not????

Moot question since the "Hawk has flown".

I may have missed a question/comment or two. Try to cover next time as I don't want to lose this message during my limited computer time.

If I had just had the birds along, John Boy, I wouldst have had more luck with one resting on my shoulder.. As it was, I received a bit more attention than some thought I needed.

Later. And thanks for the interest, All....

Heck, you don't need no stinking birds. You get all the cute women anyway. However, if you really want them....
