Hi,
Did anyone get the Peppermill mailing about the expansion?

I noticed that it shows that they are leaving the old pool, and building another pool as well. I had assumed they were getting rid of the old one. You can see it is still there on the convention center live camera they have. I just figured they had not torn it down yet.

I got that fancy mailer. I thought the Peppermill was sending me a 2008 calendar. Laughing I don't pay much attention to the pools, but I see you are correct. It looks like there are going to be two pools. I am afraid that there will not be much sun with the dual tall buildings.

Could this be the start of the new pool in this picture? I see a hole in the ground.

Hi, hope everyone had a great Christmas! I decided to go on our local casino cruise ship one last time to thank everyone for all the fun I've had there for the past 9 years...lost another $200 but hey got a free burger and bottle of champagne as going away presents! Drink service was slow to non-existent that night so they really pulled through.

Yeah I was wondering about those pool(s) at the Pep. When I went last month, the old one was intact but the mountain/waterfall thing was gone. And it was filled with swamp water, but I happened to notice they were starting on the new one. The old one was nice, I hope they keep it.

Anyone have plans to stay in that new tower anytime soon? I don't get fancy mailers like you all do haha but they did send me a $99 introductory rate offer.

ok, since I was likely the latest visitor:
They are putting in an ADDITIONAL olympic size pool between current pool and the new Tuscany bldg. There will be a second jacuzzi by that pool. There will be a waterfall between the old pool and the building where the animals used to live. That will be a fancy new steakhouse.

Also a big workout area or something like that will go in between the other bldgs, like between steakhouse, old (Montego??) wing and new Tuscany.

Hope you can picture all this. It will be one big pool area. I imagine from the steakhouse, one can look out THROUGH the waterfall toward the OLD pool area.

A big rotunda like entrance from near Biscotti's and the bar will give access to the new pool.
A long ways to go on this stuff.

Sometime in the past, I had heard that they were going to put in a lazy river. On this rendering pic http://www.peppermillreno.com/media_center/photo_popup/2

you can see the river. Now after looking at the pics they sent in the brochure, I am thinking they must have gotten away from that idea. I liked the old pool as well. I wonder if both pools will be open year round, or just the old one? I cant wait until it is finished, so I can start staying at my favorite hotel/casino again.

No lazy river that I have heard of.
Since it is to be all one (connected) pool area, it seems to me that they may leave them all open. But who knows? (insert Macabre laughter here) THE SHADOW KNOWS.

Boy, I wish I was there now. I feel like I have been abandoned in the far reaches of the Congo.
It is cold, snowy, rainy, and passes are closed.
I can't get Internet service.
I have no TV service.

All I have for entertainment is my new hot tub under the covered back patio.
Still, I could enjoy some time in Reno.
(even if I had to watch J slam down Heinie after Heinie)
