Drove up to Reno, my wife and I share a room with a close friend. He was participating in a Pai Gai tornament on sunday. I was able to get a comp room for sunday night. the double beds are too small for us. I know my friend wouldnt be complainting if he share the bed with her. Embarassed My friend couldn't gamble saturday night, because he didn't bring his $$ with him, he thought he could get it from the casino, since he had signed up the previous time for check cashing. he even called up the casino prior to arriving to see if he was able to get cash, and the casino, told him everything was okay. so the question is how did I do in Reno, I gave my money to the casino, played all different slot machine to no avail. okay, I did win a couple of bucks, but it all went back in. as for my wife, she did the same, I gave her some $$ and it went right in, with no returns. Twisted Evil Had dinner at he steaks house in Harrahs casino and hotel, My friend took care of it. he had two steaks, the first one came well done, after he request a rear steak, so they got another one for him. he was a happy camper after that.
At about 11:30 pm at Harrahs poker room in the east tower, a good fight was starting, as my wife and I were walking by, two guys got up from the poker table, and the fights was on, the black guy picked up the white guy and threw him on the poker table, and the table fell over with all the cards and chips sliding down the table, saw one casino worker on the white phone calling for security, What security? none at all, another white guy came to the black guy and told him it was time to get of here, and they both left together. still no security. my wife and I both left the area also, not safe here Evil or Very Mad
Sunday, had breakfast at harrahs buffet, my wife and I later went out of the casino and drove to wells fargo bank ATM , needed cash for gambling, also got some for my friend also, Instead of counting the money after retreving it from the ATM, I just took the stack of money and put it in my pocket, not safe standing in the street counting your money, went back to the casino and gave the money to my friend, he thank me and went to the poker table, he later called me and stated I was $20 short on what I had given him, even the poker dealer had spread out the money on the table and she said it was not the full amount that he had stated, oh well, he won at the poker table, and gave me back my money, I called wells fargo, and they credit me back my $20 without any question. left Reno on monday morning, gamble a little at boom town, my wife won $75 and was happy. Razz

Thanks for posting your trip report.

I have never had an ATM do that before. It actually does happen i guess.

Glad to hear your wife at least won some money on your way outta town.

That's a nasty bit of p.r. for Harrah's - sheesh, if they can't even get their own security to show up, couldn't they at least call the cops??

I keep hoping for a turnaround in the perception of "Street Life" in the downtown, but that kind of thing is not encouraging, and sets the cause back a few steps.

Harrah's will probably deny this incident ever took place, but I sure hope their management will try to figure out where they screwed up that night.

Thanks for the report!
