Boreal Ridge is open. I believe this is the first to open in the area. Not much snow, but if you have to ski- have at it. Today is the first day and they report 6–9 inch base with one lift open. Lift tickets are reduced at $22.

Sounds great, can't wait! I hit Boreal a few years back, it's a cool little place. Open at night too!

If anybody is interested, here's the lowdown on a couple more resorts: Heavenly is opening Nov. 17, Mammoth opened last week, Kirkwood is opening November 18, Squaw Valley is opening November 17, and Northstar-At-Tahoe is opening November 22. I wish I could go over Thanksgiving but can't get away until my January trip.

Also, check out the "early deals" on season passes...you can hook up and get a season pass for the same price as 3 lift tickets at the window at certain resorts, but everybody's got their own little thing, so check out when the deals expire.
