Hi!
I am new on the board here, but not to your board. I have been reading it for a long time. Smile But lately it seems to be on the slow slide. Sad
So, I want to pick it up here. How?
We're headed to Reno. Very Happy
Very last minute decision. Found tickets on Southwest for under $1oo. each. So for $197 we are off on Oct. 9. Staying at Fitz for 3 nights, which 2 of them are free. Yippee!! So, how can you help me?

Okay, we are slot gamblers, not high rollers. Pennies, nickels. Buffet eaters. Maybe a show. NO car, but not afraid of public transportation. It has been about a year, since we been to Reno. What should we see, do, something new? Any suggestions would be greatful. Love you guys. Thanks.

well............go see the magic show 2 for 1 coupons will be in the paper or avai;ible on this site? we have seen it 7-8 times mostly when it was alittle larger at the Hilton, but still very good. (Kalin & Ginger)
Stop by any roulette wheel and drop a red chip on 32, works every time......well not every time, but sometimes.
Have a great time, my wife and myself will be in reno a week from this thurs....can't wait.

I want to go to a magic show, but didn't want to pay $30 a piece for them. I hope that I can find 2 for 1. The Reno Paper? And the one on this site is the Magic Undergrond. I think they only are from Thursday thru Sunday. We are there Monday thru Thursday.

Enjoy your trip. Very Happy
20 days for me.

The magic show's pretty cool and you can get 2-4-1 coupons on this site:

For most of the year, they only operate Friday - Sunday. They throw Thursday in during the busy season. Mark and Jinger are very nice people and normally hang around after the show for an informal chat with the audience.

We have been going to Reno for over 6 years now. We usually go in December for anniversary and again in the spring.
When we first started to visit, we would go for 4 nights and we would end up seeing 5 shows, really good, entertaining shows. Now we are at a loss for what has happened to Reno. Last year we went and only found 1 show we were remotely interested in seeing. As December is coming up again, I am strongly considering going elsewhere.
We do like to gamble, and eat, and drink, but we also want to enjoy entertainment.
Also, we stayed at Circus last year, spent quite a bit of money in their casino, and I just received a discouraging response from them.
I want to book through Alaska air, and the package price is cheaper than the flight only price, but it doesn't let me book a suite only a standard room. So I emailed and asked if they would upgrade us for our anniversary. They responded by saying they would have to charge us for this. What happened to the casinos that were happy to have people stay with them. They have our players card # and can look up how much we gamble. So, what does one have to do to have fun in Reno? Crying or Very sad Question

Hi Karen, You really did get a good price on your flight. We are flying to Reno next Monday from Portland and staying at the Fitz. We used to see shows once in awhile but dont very often anymore. I love to play the slots and Jim likes craps and Keno and making bets. We always have fun but Reno isnt like it was years ago when there were so many more casinos and shows to go to. Anyhow Im counting the days till Monday Laughing Barb

Well you have fun on your trip. Let us know all about it when you get back. Basically we like the slots and heading to the different casinos and seeing what is new. And since we are not going on the weekend, there isn't a whole lot going on. But just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and I wanted to get this board talking again. I too check it everyday.
