So june 17th we will arrive in Reno. Wont be arriving till late since we are driving down. Starting off the trip staying at teh Atlantis. have 4 nights booked, comped. First time staying here so its a big change for us.

I also have then 3 nights booked at Silver Legacy. We did not plan to stay at The Pep at all.

I had written a review on Yelp after our last stay, and never got any response from the Peppermill. So i updated it about a week ago, stating how we are long time customers and or opinions must not matter. The reason i said this was there is someone from the Peppermill who is always commenting on reviews yet never does on mine. Lol.. So he reached out to me. He asked what it would take to win us back. I asked dawn being she was the one who was really miffed after our last trip. She had a horrible massage there and lost her ass. The room was hotter than hell the whole trip. The sheets and bedding were in poor shape. So she says she wants another massage and dinner at Bimini. Well ask and you shall receive. He said sure no problem. So i have booked us 3 nights in a Tuscany Patio Suite. I am excited to be back! I honestly was nervous to stay at SL. The rooms dont look that great. Plus when you are comparing it to the Pep, well its not gonna win. So back to my Palace we go. I really hope she has a better time this trip. Fingers crossed!!!

Also i dont get their offer system. Last trip i played basically the same as the year before. Total points earned were 1400. In 2015 1375

2015- coin-in per hour played: 936
2016- coin-in per hour played: 846

My free play went from $250 to $150. Huh?

Dawn: Total points earned 703, in 2015 was 1140
2015- coin-in per hour played: 949
2016- coin-in per hour played: 546

Her offers wentup to $250 from $200. Makes no sense to me at all!

Ummm, Alison...could you please elaborate on this? I've heard of really bad massages, but this one has to set a world record.

Haha John. Guess I should have worded that differently. More like she took not in the ass at the Pep? Haha! Oh is that worse? Lol
She lost a lot of money this past trip. I really can't believe she's willing to go back. She hates the Tuscany Asian theme as she calls it too.

Bad massages, lost asses and poor AC can definitely throw a wrench into what should be an enjoyable trip. Glad you two are heading back, despite the bad experiences. The Atlantis is a great casino and a fine hotel. I stayed there one night in 2009 - so I should know. Glad too, that you're giving the Pep another chance (and that they offered you another chance). Please don't loose your ass Alison - your avatar would have to change!

Since you've decided to broaden your horizons beyond the P Mill, may I make two suggestions?

As you do the Virginia Street stroll one morning after staying at Silver Legacy, stop at Siris (near the Little Nugget) and try the Chicken & Waffles (You can eat at the bar) instead of the now, $ 9.50 Awful Offal Burger. Drop a $ 2 bill tip on bartenders Cherrie or Justin (and ask them where the Primadonna is...to add your street cred)

AND drive out to Grand Sierra and get a card... Mammoth Gambler talked me into that a few years ago and now they send me some great offers.

Have fun on your trip and if you drive thru Portland this time....let me know and I'll stand out on the freeway with my thumb out.

I was actually I thinking about going to Grand Sierra. Actually going it is another thing..lol.

We will be driving down i5 this time....I will pick you up JD...😉

Good point BC...I can't loose my ass...It would be a shame to give up my avatar...You all love it so much!!! Haha!

Agreed! - But, it would be politically incorrect for me to say pretty much anything else at this point so ... Shocked
And, have a fantastic time!

Just checked the forecast. Looks like you'll have weather into the 90's - which is plenty hot enough for us northerners. That's great for some time by the pool, but hopefully your room's AC will be better than your last stay. If not, RAISE HELL!! .... And have a great time!

Thanks Dave!
Yeah the av has never been an issue. I really think it was a just being on that side with the sun hitting it most the day. Being poolside should help. I'm so white I may have to sit in the shade..lol...The weather here is just crazy...80 yesterday and 60 and rain today. I am ready for summer! I will be looking for you on the side of the road.
I thought about doing a day by day trip report but that may be too much for me to keep up on...😀

If somebody's hitch-hiking in Portland, it may be JD. But, play it safe - no rides to hitch-hikers! The weather in south central BC has been very mixed up too. June is reliably crazy (weather wise).

I think I've got about 20 years on you. You can't be callin' yourself old yet! I'm 63 and still a young buck! (With a sore back and some wrinkles).

I used to play floor hockey with a guy who was asked for his ID (at "The Reef Tavern" in Point Roberts, Washington) when he was well into his 30's, but you've got him beat. Since it is pretty much every woman's (and man's - me thinks) most sacred desire to stay young looking, you must be thrilled when asked for your ID. Just make sure you have it with you when you hit the MegaBucks jackpot!

I have to confess, I didn't just guess your age. Back in 2009 I posted my 1985 Reno trip report and you responded . . .

A couple of pictures of me in there at the age of 31. I haven't changed a bit ... maybe.
