Going on my second visit to Reno in a couple weeks. Staying at Harrahs, but would like to visit the Club Cal Neva. What are their restaurant like? We've eaten at the big casinos but not here yet? Is their Steakhouse good and their coffee shop? Thanks for the information. 😎

We like to eat there, the food is good and the price is right.
We always have breakfast in the Top Deck, steak and eggs
with every thing 5.99, Large menu, every thing on it.

We've eaten at the steak house a few times. They have
a 3 steak sampler for 29.95 with all the trimming. I ain't
fancy but the food is good, and they have a 24 hr grill
on the 1st floor that has a menu that has every thing
you could ask for and cheap. Try it you'll like it. But
like I said, there's nothing Fancy about any of the place!
Bon Apatite.

top of deck is very good coffee shop, great cheap food.
Steak and prime rib specials. Last time I was there 12 oz prime rib with salad and baked potato was $12.

the comps system at Cal Neva seems pretty favorable. I typically will play blackjack for 3 to 4 hours, and I usually have enough comps to pay for dinner. I haven't paid for a meal at Cal Neva in a long time.

Also, on weekends and busy times in the sports book, there is a hotdog stand, very good stadium style hot dogs. I think it is $4 for a dog and a budweiser.
excellent choice for a quick snack while watching a game.

The last time I was there, I went to the Top Deck for their prime rib, but instead got the Bacon Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese sandwich (with fries) for about $4.99.

Tasted about as good as it looked....

That was a couple of years ago.

I have since learned that vacation calories are not free. Sigh....
