Wondering how crowded it will be ? Havent been since 2006 on a street vibration weekend. Some of there facebook posts show it pretty crowded although the pics also show the fitz sign which is no longer there......
Still looking forward to being in Reno next weekend, just hoping to find a seat at the bar at the CalNeva with my favorite Reno Bartender.

I'm guessing that it will be pretty crowded. John can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Street Vibes is Reno's second largest event - right after Hot August Nights. Hope Lady Luck will smile upon you. Perhaps she'll even reserve a bar seat at the Cal Neva for you.

If the weather is iffy, Street Vibrations expects about 35,000 people (not all with bikes) over 5 days. In nice weather, which is predicted this year, we expect about 50,000 people. Downtown is crowded, of course, but Virginia City is a zoo. We'll have Erik Estrada on Thursday and about 12 bands, 3 of which are all girl tribute bands.

$ 260 for a room that's FREE two days later. I figured you''d be mighty busy about now, John. I'll be there in 9 days (if I don;t get arrested).

In two full weeks, I only have two days (so far) NOT comped....but it's a LOT of moving every two days.

Have enough of Harleys yet? Do your duties call for you to be out near Sparks Nugget on Thurs, Fri or Saturday evening? I have friends playing at Gilleys.

No JD, no major increase in the number of roaming bikes yet. That won't happen until around Wednesday.

My duties are many and varied, but none of which involve manual labor. Pre event: update website and schedule of events, design magazine ads and posters, design event logos, map out poker runs, make forms for participant activities, VIP participant and vendor applications, produce the pocket program, stuff like that.

Once the event starts, I primarily photograph things like the bands, slow bike races, crowds, vendors, any celebrities we may have, and this year, my personal favorite, the International Bikini Team.

A few years back I overstepped my bounds and produced a video about Street Vibrations. It was a learning experience, teaching me to avoid trying that again.

Since we no longer have any connection with Sparks, I don't go there.

Well it sounds like it should be a great time this weekend. One of my ol' friends is actually putting on the vintage bike show they are having. Looking forward to the trip. This will certainly make my stop at shooters more entertaining then most. See ya at the CalNeva Slacker

I like to drive through downtown on a Reno trip even if I am not staying downtown. Coming home this morning, I found South Virginia street closed to traffic. They were setting up stages etc.

Have a great time this weekend. I have not been to Shooters in a few years. I don't think it is a good place to take a date for a drink.
