Ok everyone, the day has finally arrived. Im hitting the road at 2:00. Wish me luck! Probably gonna stop in Klamath again then up early to finish off the drive to Reno. Peppermill is basically sold out tonight, thru the week. Gonna be super busy there. I see the Miss US Universe is there too, whatever that is. lol

Be on the lookout at Portland's exit 295 on I-5 South. I'll be out at the freeway with my thumb out.

Bad timing.....you will be trying to get thru Portland at our RUSH HOUR whic lasts from 3 pm until about 7.

From exit 295, IF you go Hwy 58 thru Oakridge....you have 9 hours to the Reno Arch. Mid week, you will be OK going RIGHT to Eagle Lake/Susanville at 299....it's about 17 miles shorter than Alturas, Standish. 526 miles thru Eagle Lake, 541 thru Alturas. Alturas route faster (if further) in winter or holiday weekend.

Good luck and say hi to the beer tenders at Silver Legacy...and Neil at the Cube Bar.

Thanks!! We actually went to Yakima, down to Bend and now were in Klamath falls. We didn't want to deal w I5 traffic. When we get to the point where we can go left to alturus or right to wherever, lol..

Peppermill is sold out tomorrow.I hope we get a decent room.

Alison should be at her castle now. It's likely we won't hear too much from her for a few days as she immerses in the Peppermill experience. But if you are reading this Alison, I hope your just taking a break from counting your winnings!

I believe you owe us a few installments of your trip report, Alison.

Go ahead and write them when you've had a few too many free drinks...the stories are more entertaining that way.

I just looked up the definition of fun in my Funk and Wagnalls Dictionary:

Fun (fŭn)

1 Staying out way too late.
2. Not getting enough sleep
