Okay, I'm ready to get my next trip to Reno booked! Who's with me? I will be watching for airfares to Reno (c'mon Alaska Airlines, Seattle is your hub) over this holiday weekend and hope to see some great deals. Prop planes or not, I gotta get back to Reno!

I will also be on this website over the weekend so if anyone knows of any flight deals to Reno please post them in this thread. Let's all get our next trip to Reno planned!

I'm also watching from SeaTacky to Reno this holiday. Last year, I found $52 each way….in December for a January trip. So, do I buy now or wait…do I gamble?

Oh, will be booking Silver Legacy this weekend as their Black Friday special was the best of all 2014 last year…

And no, I don't get rooms comped as I'm a low roller. I get a deck of used cards.

A couple of questions for you Zydeco. Did you book a package for your trip to the Silver Legacy? Which website did you use? Many thanks!

Zydeco may post a better deal (I'm curious as to the SL Black Friday special as well), but I did receive an email from SL for their "Cyber Sale" which runs until midnight Monday, November 30. It is for 40% off room rates. In reading the fine print it is for the Luxury and Superior Room categories and you must be a Star Rewards cardholder to claim this offer. The promo code to enter is Cyber45. I tried to go in and do a mock booking and it does ask you to insert your Star Rewards players card number and zip code so you will need that information to redeem this offer. The fine print also does not state it is only redeemable for Sun-Thu stays so I'm presuming it will be valid on Fri-Sat as well. It is for a maximum of 4 nights and is good for stays through March 3, 2016. And it can only be booked online not over the telephone.

Seahawks Fan: Yes, Cyber Sale and YES I used my card. There is another CyberSale email 40% off that includes 2 drinks but that one is $20+ higher each night as it does not use the players card. I did a side-by-side ('cause I have that kind of time)….and they were very different prices.

It did work for a Thurs-Sun booking as well (3 nights).

I met all the conditions it looks like.

I prefer to book with a human being, but if this averages a room for a reasonable price (and remember my days of free rooms are long gone), then I'm booking on Friday. We are all set to do such. We will each book our own (using our individual card #).

We are a group of 10 and we will book 5 rooms, but we are all players club members.

Still seeing na-da for Alaska Air today for SEA-RNO…..you?

Zydeco - no I have not seen any Alaska Airlines deals yet for Seattle to Reno. But if they follow recent past patterns, I know the last 2 years they had flight deals on Cyber Monday not Black Friday. Both of those years you also had to fly on Tue, Wed or Sat to get the deals and both years the deals were for flying between early January and early March so that would work with the SL Cyber Sale dates which end in early March (so you may want to wait until Monday to book SL - you have until midnight Monday night to get SL Cyber sale deal). But just keep in mind you may have to alter your dates and stay Wed to Sat for example to get those airfare sale rates. From what I'm seeing Alaska will be offering Cyber Monday deals again this year, let's just hope Seattle to Reno is on the list! Happy shopping! Planning really is part of the fun!

Excellent point about waiting until Monday. BUT we do know our dates as it takes an act of Congress to schedule 5 couples…so we know when we are going.

I just heard from another couple and they booked today, but didn't get the same prices I'm getting ($30 Thurs, $51 Fri/Sat)…they got $60 Thus, $80 Fri/Sat. I told them to wait….so we'll see.

Alaska…I'm totally waiting for Monday plus I have the 5% Insider discount and a 5% birthday discount….every little bit helps…so I can drop it on the craps tables.

HaHAha... Trying to get 10 people to agree on a date, time and place for ANYTHING is next to impossible.

I can only imagine the "....I can make it on that day & time to depart, but can we get a later departure time? "

Then when you get there...enter a casino with 10 to go to dinner....by the time you get to the restaurant (which will only seat you when all ten are with the party)...odds of all arriving together are longer than me holding the dice for more than four rolls.

There are SOME brand new Peppermill "Fly away" dates posted on P Mill's website.

The Dec Portland deal is sold out (or SAYS it is) but they added a 3 night, $179 ppdo/Feb 14th 4:00 pm from PDX (WAY too symbolic). There may be more from other locations.... did not check.

Zydeco - I just booked my flights! I really debated on this as I wasn't planning to go back to Reno until late April but the Cyber Monday 7 day sale is really great so I'm going back in late February/early March instead of late April. I get weekly emails from Alaska Airlines and check flights to Reno frequently and these were the best prices I've seen all year so waiting to go in April would not be beneficial as far as airfare goes.

I believe you're going in January so don't drain all the jackpots at Silver Legacy! Save some for me in February! Very Happy

We did too! But we also waited for the additional 10% off that came out. We are going in January and will stay at S.L. Now we need to decide which steakhouse!

Zydeco - Yes, I too love getting the deals. I love that I paid less than $200.00 for round trip airfare. I will also get 2 comped nights at SL and $40.00 in free play (that will last about 5 minutes - ha ha!). Also, my birthday is in March so I hope that I will get something from SL as a birthday gift.

I am also going to enjoy having some "girl time" and getting a spa treatment which is something I've never done. I'm a very low maintenance woman so getting nails done, massages, etc. is a very foreign concept to me. But I'm going to treat myself. This trip is a bonus for me as I am getting a paid sabbatical from work (an extra perk in my profession) in addition to my normal vacation time so I'm getting alot more paid days off next year, so I'm going to use some of it to have fun for a few days on my own in Reno! Yay!
