Happy New Year to all!! I drove up Virginia Street this afternoon and things looked pretty lively - lots of groups and families walking around in the warm sunshine. I think the wrestling tournament might still be going on, the D League basketball tournament is about to begin and it's New Years Eve so there's lots of activity.

Swede, that was a *way* more thoughtful post than my own meager happy-new-year wish...I'll at least glom onto it, by citing another great George Bernard Shaw quote: when asked about the secret to longevity, Shaw said it was "choosing the right grandparents".

Just had a small glass of "Asti" with Janice. 2 or 3 onces - And I can feel it! 2014 feels alright to me!
