We extended our LV trip to include a drive up to Reno this time. We have never been in that area in the winter so we were apprehensive about the weather. It turns out that the weather was no problem at all. We left Red Rock in LV early Mon. morning, about 7 AM. Many people we talked to said it would be a long boring drive, but we did not find it to be that boring. The snow caped Nevada mountains were beautiful. You go by some of the tallest in the state. The towns you go through are also very interesting, like Goldfield. The offer that drew us up there was a suite in the Tuscany Tower at Pepper Mill.

The offer did not start until the 5th so the 4th we stated at Harrahs comped. They gave us our usual corner room, but when Nancy went up she found many things wrong with the room ( no air, lamps didn't work, ice machine in hall was out of order). First she called maintenance and they came up. Then she saw the number on the TV screen for the GM if you have problems. She called and he moved us up to a suite.

The next day we transferred our things over to Pepper Mill. Nancy was holding her own gambling bu I was losing. When we went to the machine to swipe our cards for today's offers I got two admits to Bingo at 7 PM. Since was losing on the casino floor I didn't mind leaving for a while. With admit to the bingo you got two drink tickets and one set of game sheets. I did terrible on most of the games but the last game was a coverall. I started off very slow, I was soon down to one number 27. Then 27 went up on the TV screen I shouted out bingo before she announced 27. I was little excited! Then there were several people who thought they had all numbers. Only one other was verified so the two of us shared $3500 or $1750 each. It was worth the side trip from Vegas.

A trip report with a big bingo win highlight - I think that's a first! Congratulations. Glad you enjoyed the trip from Vegas to Reno.

Another winner! Love it...and I agree that the drive is probably fascinating; those who denounce starkness for lack of scenery fail to appreciate the scope of its creation.

And a Bingo win - who'd a thunk it? It's so nice when the evening turns around, and gives you a welcome surprise.

Keep up the good work...
