Here's a Non-Nevada report for ya. I know it's heresy!

On Wednesday May 2nd. Janice and I drove down to La Conner Washington to do an annual ritual - Take in the tulip festival. We usually do this trip a bit late and since the festival runs from April 1st to 30th, this year was no exception. If you get there in April you'll see huge fields of tulips in their various colors which is quite striking.

Crossing the border at Blaine... The Peace Arch ...

Although the main event was over we went to a garden that still had tons of tulips...

Here's an apple tree with tulips growing on it....

These gorgeous but slightly faded tulips reminded me of a casino carpet I'd seen somewhere...

OK, on to the gambling side of the trip. After a quick bite at a Taco Del Mar we did headed north on the I-5 to exit 236 and entered the Skagit Hotel and Casino.

This place opened in 1995 as a Harrah's with just table games and bingo. A few years later Harrah's pulled out. The odd type of slot machine they have in Washington was approved and the bingo got kicked out the back door. The slots are all the video kind and they operate on a different principle than the Nevada ones do. (Not exactly a random number generator).

Anyway we made a $90 profit on Da Vinci Diamonds, American Reels and another one that I've forgotten the name of.

You're right Lily they are short lived...too short. Hopefully some genetic engineer's working on that problem. I wouldn't complain if they lasted a couple of months.

We're just back from the Skagit Casino again. They got most of their money back... Neutral

The tulips are long gone from around here. Nice pictures, but you forgot to post the big jackpot pictures.

I left the camera in the car. The wins were small anyway. It was nice that we had a few of them.

My best win was on DaVinci Diamonds when the little paintings and Kings and Queens etc. kept lining up paying a bit and then letting new symbols drop into place.

The DaVinci Diamonds and Rembrandt's Riches machines in Washington State have a "random bonus" of six free spins. I've never seen this in Reno, has anybody?
