It's worse than you thought, Dave.

John just called...he wants to try to get tossed in jail again.

I have to stay sober in order to bail him out.

Meeting at Siena in a half hour !

From 3 pm until 9:00 it;s a Texas tea party!

I mostly stayed on Dbl Dbl Bonus bartops....near the JD.

John...he goes for the mindless penny sluts...I mean SLOTS !

Lat I saw, he was playing a 50x dbl dbl bonus that dealt all fifty hands three aces....

He'll have to tell you the rest.

I need a nap !

I'm just going to check OUT of the Eldo today. # 2110

It's now 3:45 am and I woke with a start having what is commonly called a "JD NIGHTMARE" , really it was a very disturbing dream put involved violence and paper.

When I got up, there was my "EXPRESS video check out for my 2 FREE nights, and my Buy TWO at $ 25 & $ 30 ...get 3rd night "FREE" bill...SLIPPED UNDER MY DOOR which must have sent me into working paper scraps into my bad dream. Wow !

$ 55?
NOPE
Resort fee $ 7/night
City Capital Project Fee $ 2/night
Tax $ 4.05/night

Still, Under $ 90 for FIVE NIGHTS !!! Pretty good deal and they did let me use TWO promo rates back to back. And I did play 21 games of keno (sucka).

At least I have proof I never bumped anything on the "Honor bar". They have sensors so if you even touch an item, your bank is immediately notified of the undisclosed charges.

I'm going up to Virginia City TODAY and will be hanging out at the Red Dog, Mark Twain Casino, Ponderosa and maybe the Silver Dollar.

Be sure to get your Eldo gold card...gives $ 2 off the barfett.

Sorry I missed you.

I'm going back to bed now. night night...4:04 am

Thank you for paying the $2 City Capital Project Fee.

That is going to make the National Bowling Stadium look really nice for me!

Cool

Let me be clear about something: I am commandeering JD's trip report since we're in this together. Parts of this may be inaccurate due to the fact that Jeannie, the cocktail waitress was frequently hitting on me, and I have the bruises to prove it.

Another enjoyable afternoon and evening with JD at the Siena, from 2pm to 9pm. We solved many of the world's problems, discovered the nature of the universe and stayed out of jail.

I actually won about $400, but JD did much better. We had a lovely dinner and broke in a new waiter, who should think about us often.

My big hit was on a 5 cent DDB spin poker machine when it dealt me 4 aces, but wouldn't treat me to a kicker. The fifty play hand JD mentioned above was a penny machine with $2.50 bet. It dealt me a full house with 3 aces. Held the aces and did well, at least for a penny machine.

In a moment of weakness, JD broke down and played some "mindless" slot machines and reaffirmed his reasons for leaving them alone. Drained him dry. Beat him up. Kicked his butt.

And no, Dave (BC type), we didn't play Ghostbusters, which has been renamed to Walletbusters. That machine has high entertainment value, sort of like going to a movie. Once you see it a couple of times, it loses its appeal because you'll never win on it, but the vibrating seats can rejuvenate a tired body.

I used to dislike the Siena because their VP payouts were among the lowest in town and the slots were very tight. The new management has fixed this. In an effort to bring in new business, they'll upgrade your account to any other casino's level and give you $50 or $100 in comps. The place is clean, the food is good and the employees are very friendly and eager to please. Since it's a small property, it's hard to get lost, unlike the larger casinos. Due to this size limitation, their machine selection is limited, but acceptable. Here's wishing them success in the future.

Yeah, my wallet got slimed too. Except at the Airport, where I beat the thing for about ten bucks.

I have been enjoying the report and all the exploits. It could get better, as I don't think anyone has put a testicle in their mouth yet.......(go back and read first post in this thread). Confused Shocked

Uhhh, Swede, I'm not sure how that could make anything better. No, no, I don't think it possibly could.

Posted Thurs, 9 am

Check out at the Eldo is NOON. And that means at 12:01 your room key stops working.

Don't ask me how I know this.

SO on Wednesday, the Eldo barfett is "FREE" (but without the room tax, improvement district tax, sales tax) for "GOLD PLUS" cardholders. This means at 10:00 am, there is a RUSH of regulars.

Croissants are the score of the buffet. Flaky light and drinks included. Good deal.

On my way up to VC I stop at Big 5 to buy some boots in case it does snow. They overcharge me. If I don't use them, I'll return them at home.

OK....UP TO VIRGINA CITY. One hour and 100 years in a heartbeat.

My favorite place in VC is the Mark Twain Casino. Friendly staff, good pay tables and a bunch of the newer slots if you go for those (I don't).

The buzz at the bar is who has to shuck the REAL oysters they are planning to use with the testicles for the competition :

This is the front page of the local paper and after 3/16, it will have the same story about the "high end" entry to the great balls of fire.

There's the "SAWDUST CORNER" restaurant, that has a Weds (that's the local BINGO night) special. Was supposed to be a seafood platter, but that was not to be.

I had the BEST $ 8.99 prime rib with fresh grated horseradish. Highly recommended.

Then live music at the Red Dog. I love this town.

More later.

Have a great time in VC with VP, booze and live music...just go "nuts". Be sure to update us on your adventure. Call me if you get back to Reno and we can try to get arrested again.
