It does not look like much interest in this subject, but here is an update. They brought in two locksmiths and a safecracker and they were unable to get in. A broken handle was the result.
They are bringing in a blow torch next.

Several years ago, the IRS auctioned off "Cabin in the Sky" an abandoned restaurant in Gold Hill that was rumored to have been once owned by Joe Conforte (in fugitive exile in Brazil).
When the new owners were revamping it, the found buried in the floor a afe which they sold raffle tickets to.
They mad a big "Al Capone" safe opening kinda party...and......

Everyone exhale.... we still have to wait to discover the rusty water. I guess they are waiting to highen the suspense.
I read that someone tried to breakin over the weekend.
