Okay, there has got to be more than the Brews Brothers at night. Anyone suggest where people can go at night for a good time, music, beer, and frolicking?

Slacker, that bar is supposed to be a local's secret. It's just too cool to share with the outside world.

The Atlantis has a disco, but I can't remember the name of it. Before the property was called Atlanits, the disco was called Atlantis. I think that's where the present hotel got its name.

I'm gonna have to swing by Shooters the next time I'm in Reno. I have a feeling though, that I shouldn't tell them that John sent me.....

DING, DING, Ding... WE HAVE A WINNER !!!

AT LAST.... Someone that looks on the MAIN SITE first. When John first started this board, a bunch of us were always nagging him to "...add this, add that...". Like a good web site CEO, he did as he was told.

Then it turned out few bothered to surf the main site which really has scads of information. It always seemed easier to ask others the questions that can be easily answered with a little searching.

If you ever catch me asking something when the answer is on the main site, I'll buy whoever catches me a drink... (if I'm gambling and get it comped).

Now I kinda like sitting at the Caberet bar at the Peppermill if the group is good.

Same kinda bar at Atlantis (downstairs in the casino). Luck of the draw on the bands, tho. I went to that nightclub (disco) upstairs but felt WAY out of place since the average age in there was 21 years, 3 days.

Now MY favorite entertainment is dropping a worthless, lookalike black clay chip near where I'm playing video poker. As soon as someone steps on it, I start looking around for it to see how long they'll stand there.
Now, THAT'S entertainment !!! I wish I had the nerve to watch them try to cash it at the cage !!

Is this new from last year, or have I been too inebriated to notice it?

I will now have to try out Shooters for myself- very convenient since I usually stay at the El Dorado!

If you like blues you should check out the Third Street Blues Club, on Third Street (where else?), just behind the Eldorado paarking garage. The crowd is generally older, but it seems to depend on what band is playing. It can also be a good place for a meet-up when there is no band as it is not crowded and they play blues over the PA. Some may not care for the neighborhood near a homeless mission, but we've been there several times with no problems. As they get the train trench construction cleaned up the parking situation should also improve.

Not sure what type of place you're looking for, but there used to be a bar called the "Blue Lamp" that was near the Eldorado. Great local bands, probably more of a college/locals hangout.

That's the place that is now the Third Street Blues Bar.

Oh man, thanks for letting me know. My hubby is going to be bummed. We loved the Blue Lamp, when it was up on Sierra Street. I hope the 3rd St Blue's bar has the same vibe.

Man....if I had a dollar for each customer my posts have steered into SHOOTERS, I bet I'd almost have enough money for another happy hour at the Fireside. Hmmm...

Now Dave, I'm not positive, but I think you'd be more likely to get a bullet than a dollar from every customer you steered there. Laughing
