My play at the Eldorado seems to have reached the casino host and limo from the airport stage. I am not sure what to make of that (might be time to go to a meeting). I have a few questions you wise people might be able to answer for me so that I dont look like a complete moron. What is a decent amount to tip the driver. More importantly what should i expect from my host. I like the idea of calling her for a room instead of the front desk. Other than that i am not sure what else to expect. Eldorado has a pretty clear comp policy where you can tell your comp balance easily. After all of my meals and any room charges i usually have a couple hundred left to save or blow in the gift shop. Any advice from my fellow Reno addicts would be greatly appreciated.

From the Reno airport to the Eldo, for a limo, I'd probably tip $15. I know a cab is probably cheaper, but it's a limo and you're a high roller, so $15 is nothing...LOL

I don't know how the comps work at the Eldo. I'm a Harrahs girl and it's pretty straight forward there.

I will usually contact my host and ask for an upgraded room. I've also started asking for upfront food comps and explain that I don't want to use my points for food as I like to hoarde them for the spa! Very Happy It works at my local Harrahs (Rincon), but I've never tried it in Reno or LV.

So at the Eldo you have to spend your comp points before you leave? With Harrahs they are banked.

Thanks for the info. Eldorado will bank your points for a year i think. I just assume I will be hit by a bus before I get back to use them.

I take it back, I would probably tip $20 for a limo. I just don't want to seem cheap...LOL

Ok, what would you like your host to comp? Ask them for what you want, they can only say no. I'm usually a wimp when it comes asking, but when I know I've put thru some good coin, I will definitely ask for additional comps.
