High notes from recent trips include;

The Fireside lounge, (at the Peppermill) especially Tuesday's Happy Hour with $1.50 imported beers and free appetizers. Great atmosphere and friendly, elegant waitresses.

Playing "Bonus Poker Deluxe" at the Cube Bar and Waterfall bar (in the Peppermill). The four of a kinds pay well and sometimes show up often.

Brew Brother's microbrews (at the Eldorado) and lunch. Unfortunately this place is a little too loud for us in the evening.

Video Poker at the bar (any bar) in the Cal Neva. Usually good paytables. Lots of interesting people come and go. Old fashioned gambling hall atmosphere, with plenty of smoke (for those of us who appreciate it for it's yet unknown health benefits.) Show any sign that your playing and the drinks come quickly and on the house.

The Steak house at the Peppermill. Great food served amid wild exotic light sculptures. Might be a bit pricey, but if your friend has comps and offers...don't argue.

Lake Tahoe, Carson city and Virginia city If the weather is decent, the day trip through these spots is beautiful.

As you come out of the coffee shop its just off to the left a bit in the center of the super neon area. Am I right about this Mr. Reno?

It's four sided, hence the cube name.

That's the one. On the Pep's website they call it the video cube bar.
