Yeah, you may be right John, after all they did have a sign on the wall with a picture of a revolver and the caption "We don't call 911". Anyway the next time I'm in town I think we should strap on our bullet-proof vests and head there for Happy Hour. That done you can write an objective review of this fine establishment and post it on the main board (Bars and Clubs) where I'm sure many of your readers are searching frantically more information.

Dave, they deserve much more than a mere mention on the bars and clubs page. I think I'll build them a web site devoted to the fine community service they provide.

Ok I did look on the Main page first. The Third Strret Blues Bar is not mentioned so where can I find out more info? Just Google it? Always looking for somewhere to kick back when we are visiting. Heading in on the 20th so I will check it out.

I will make sure that I check this place out over Feb 3-5. I have looked, and can't find anything online about it at all. If I survive, I will post an unbias review of it Laughing

man, unless I miss my guess, you are in for some serious disappointment. Can't wait for your unbiased report. Smile

Bad. I just spoiled the illusion we had built up for weeks.
OR - did I?? Question

What is the real story here??? Maybe we insiders don't want to share. Wink

Only the Beaver can tell us - next month. Bring it on, Beav.

Hey Corvallis

Just for giving Shooters a try I'll send you a free Shooters Avatar!

P.S. Remember your bullet proof vest, a police escort, and to go at happy hour.

I suggest you, instead, bring: a BCDave-proof vest, a JOHN-less escort, and then go somewhere else for happy hour.

Here's an insider tip:
If the bartender asks "does anyone have any Super Glue"?
Quickly be the first to volunteer, "Oh yes, I always carry Super Glue. How can I be of service?"
Of course, you'd be lying. No one carries Super Glue in his pocket. But, I promise you, you'll be glad you lied. Keep the pretense going as long as you can, faking the repairs or whatever as long as possible.
You will be "cracked up" in no time.

Now, I can't divulge more cause this is BCDave's bailiwick. He can tell you more if he wishes.

BTW, safety goggles are not a bad idea either.
You may want to take your own dental floss too, so that you won't confuse it with any of the happy hour patrons outerwear.
Painting a few fake tattoos in strategic places may help you to blend in.

I guess I've shed enough clues - speaking of "shedding" ----aw, forget it.

Hey, C Beav,
I see on the schedule that you are staying at the Fitz. Will you have a badge with your name on it?
Will it say, "I am the Beav"?

how are you getting there?
when are you driving thru So Or? (if driving)
Where are you watching the Super Bowl?

I plan to be there at same time drinking as much of John's beer as I can get. With your badge, you can buy us both a few.

Okay, now what would happen if I actually DID have a tube in my pocket? I am so intrigued, it is scary!

Damn, I have never gotten a badge with my name on it. What the hell, do I miss out on everything!

Yeah, we are driving down. Not sure how many are going this year- probably between 8 and 15. Never know till that morning. As to where we will watch the superbowl- I am not sure. That usually gets planned in the late morning haze on Sunday. Went to the Golden Phoenix last year when they had the $10 buffet. Was alright. In fact, I don't think we have really hit the same place more than once. Any suggestions?

Last month I decided not to drink anything until Reno this year. I usually get my quarterly allowance during this trip!
