Look out guys - he's coming back soon. Already planning his Final Four trip for this year.

Well I am finally somewhat caught up on my sleep and I wanted to give you guys a report on my recent trip to my favorite City!
Arrived Thursday 9 AM with a few buddies. We headed straight to the Eldorado. They couldn't check us in right away but they were very nice and put a rush on both rooms so they would be ready shortly. We had a 300 sq. foot room, it was very nice and clean. Couldn't ask for more as we paid $42 on travelocity. It was great and the front desk, maids were all very friendly.
We tried to watch some games at the Eldorado but it was pretty crowded and they wouldn't comp you a drink with a $20 sports bet. Moved on to the Sands and found out they had changed the sportsbook/Keno area into a poker room. You regulars won't believe this and I can't believe I am admitting to it but we ended up at the Phoenix. It was perfect for us as the Sportsbook was great, drinks were VERY generous and they had single deck black Jack. Oh yeah and the craps while it was 3/4/5 odds it was $2 min. and the dealers were really helpful. Had a ball there. Hit the Craps table and my buddy got on a HUGE roll, I started with $100 and ended up with over $350 when we cashed out. Headed over to the Fitzgeralds. It was St. Patricks Day of course and the place was packed! Lost $100 in Black Jack but still had a trip highlight with the a group of guys in Kilts playing the Bagpipes marching around the table. I stood up and saluted and darn near fell off my chair! It was fun. I also entered my first blackjack tournament for a $20 buy in. I lost but had a good time as a Phillipono lady decided she wanted to play blackjack the only problem was we were in the middle of the tournament! Man she wouldn't take NO for an answer and finally walked off saying something I couldn't quite understand.
Ate that night at the Brews Bros. I love that place and the Chicken Chinese salad was awesome but the service at the bar was HORRIBLE!
Then headed to the Siena for Craps and lost another $100. Back to the room!
Friday was great same stuff. The Aces Diner at the Phoenix has the BEST Club Sandwich if you like that. I had 3 the whole trip and they were all comped with my card that I signed up for there. Oh by the way John have you or any of you seen the show there.....I think it is called 10? Well let me tell you they had some of the dancers there promoting the show and I have to tell you.... well just trust me John you need to see this show. Jerry you have seen this show right? Well I never made it there even though I convinced the gal at the promotions desk to comp us 4 tickets my buddies were set on food so we didn't make it! The 10:30 show I hear is the one to go to. I felt NO pain that night and we ended up at Sterlings. The place in the Silver Legacy. Pretty good food spiciest Pud Thai I ever ate, actually woke me up!
Saturday you got it the same darn thing. We ate that night as the Eldorado Buffet. That buffet is awesome. The crab was so good and their mongolian grill is the BEST! We got stuffed and loved it. Had a great Craps session at the Siena, you just can't beat the 10 x odds and $2 min.! We did very well here. Went to the Circus Circus for single deck BJ but that place gets so crowded and with the low ceiling it is SMOKEY!! Saturday night went to the Siena and dropped $100 in Craps but did well in Black Jack. I really love this Casino as the Cocktails keep coming and it isn't too crowded. I love this place, wish it had a bigger Sportsbook. I don't play slots normally but I hit a Wheel of Fortune quarter machine for $50 on the way out. I was excited as I just put two quarters in on the way out. Headed back to the hotel from the Siena and it was pretty cool as it was snowing while we walked back.
Tried gambling at the Eldorado, I really don't like it. Most Blackjack out of a shoe and a TON of those funy Black Jack payout that I refuse to play! You want to find single deck BJ well they have it if you want to play a $100 a pop! Played a little craps there and I looked up and what do you know but I am playing at the table next to Micheal Bolton. He performed at the Silver Legacy that night. Funny they had half the table reserved for him and he had a fully rack of yellow $5000 chips. Seemed like a good guy and he was having fun. I had more fun watching the girls walk by staring at him. He had his bodyguard right next to him and the Casino had a ton of suits near. It was fun to tell my wife and you guys for that matter!
Sunday kind of pushed my luck at BJ and Craps and didn't fair too well at the Phoenix or the Eldorado. Still had a great time. By the time we headed back to Reality my eyes were burning and my wallet was a little emptier but I had a huge smile on my face. It was a great trip and I can't wait to go again!
Overall I hit 4 parlays out of 8 and I won nearly $500 so I was in the positive there. I lost a heart breaker parlay on betting the over on the UNR- Illinois game, I had over 130.5 and the score ended on 130. Illinois missed a free throw and UNR a lay in at the end of the game! OUch!
But I still did a heck of a lot better than I did last year.
I had some fun at the Cal Neva but it was really busy when I was there and I hit 4 different watermellon slots for $10. Don't laugh too hard as I only tried it about 9 times. It was fun.
Video poker is a lot of fun but I need to read more on it before I invest too much time on it. Can't believe I loved playing at the Phoenix but it worked for me and my buddies!
I hope you enjoyed the report you guys as my fingers are getting tired! Take care,
Dave
Go HUSKIES!!!!
