With the purchase of several casinos by Terribles out of Las Vegas, the names will change to reflect the ownership. The names will be Sands Regency- a Terribles casino, Terrible's Rail City, Terrible's Gold Ranch, Terrible's Casino Dayton. Not much information available at this point on changes in the casinos.

As I mentioned in my post on poker at Rail City, the Terrible's name was already very evident there as of last weekend. The expansion there was already in progress before the change of ownership so that can't be credited to Terrible's. From what I've seen so far, any changes in operation are going to come about very gradually. They are even keeping Ferenc Szony, CEO of the Sands Regent, as head of operations in Northern Nevada and I haven't heard anything about changes in the rest of the management team, either.

Here's more, from today's RGJ:

Sorry to hear this. I had hoped for a mass firing of the scoundrels at the Sands, including the cheaters on day shift.

OTOH, I have a friend who works there as a blackjack dealer and she says it's the best employer of any casino she's worked for.

Come to the Terrible Sands Regency, where we cheat our patrons, but treat our employees well. :>)
