How about a trip report, Reno fans!

This trip was partly some alone time and partly with other family members. The first of the 3 days was my solo time. My adventure started on Saturday, October 27. I flew from Seattle to Reno on the first flight out of the morning, around 8:00 a.m. Get there as early as possible, right?

Wheels up!

Mount Rainier.

We had a nice tailwind pushing us along for a quick 1 hour and 20 minute flight to Reno!

Lots of changes going on down at “The Row” and I will share all of that information with you. First one being, there are no longer separate airport shuttles for Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus. There is 1 shuttle that stops at all 3 places.

My room was ready when I arrived. I had 3 nights comped at SL and was in my favorite Panoramic category room. As you know from some of my other reviews, I love these end of the hall rooms with 2 windows, each facing a different direction. Lots of light and great views from these rooms. I had the NW facing mountains views the last few visits so requested a SE facing view room this time with a view of the Eldo. I do enjoy the city lights and seeing Eldo lit up at night with this directional view.

Room 3175

So let’s get this Reno party started, shall we!

More changes. Say goodbye to Sterling’s Steakhouse at SL. On my way down to the casino I noted it is now permanently closed. I believe that steakhouse had been there since day one when SL opened in 1995. The space is currently being renovated to become a Ruth’s Chris Steak House, scheduled to open next month.

Even more changes. I was shocked to see that Flavors Buffet in SL is now permanently closed. Don't know what will go in this space but I do know I will miss this buffet a lot.

And apparently the spa at SL has been completely remodeled as well. I did not go in there on this trip so will definitely have to check that out on my next visit.

I had lunch at Café Central in SL.

Uneventful gambling on Saturday afternoon.

I had a comped ticket to the Cirque Paris show on Saturday evening in the Eldorado Showroom.

On my way over to Eldo, I noticed more changes. The fountain was all torn up as it is being “re-imagined”. Ok. I will see how much re-imagining can be done to a fountain on my next visit.

Even more changes. The showroom has been completely redone since my last visit. There is now a bar in the center of the showroom floor and the "ceiling" above the bar drops down and becomes part of the stage. Very cool.

Notice the chandelier above the bar.

Bye bye, chandelier.

It was a pretty good show. Amazing acrobatics!

Did some more gambling on Saturday night.

Ended the evening with a late dinner in Eldo at Hidden Pizza.

Goodnight.

Awoke to a nice sunrise on Sunday morning.

Had a quick breakfast at Café Central before heading down to the SL sports bar. Football Heaven, Baby! Some mimosas too. And I watched my Seahawks beat the Detroit Lions! Fun times. I love being here during football season.

After a full day of drinking and watching football I had dinner at Canter’s Deli.

My other family members arrived on Sunday evening and we gambled in SL.

This was my biggest hit of the trip.

Morning morning I enjoyed coffee in the room and watched an incredibly beautiful sunrise.

We went to breakfast at Madame Butterworks Curious Café in CC.

After breakfast we headed down to CC casino. Yep, more changes. Say goodbye to table games at CC. They have been permanently removed and are being replaced with electronic games.

Then we headed over to the Sands and played slots there for a while.

View of SL from the Sands parking lot.

Then over to Cal Neva for a bit for more gambling.

Also spent a little time in Harrah’s and Siri’s. So we covered a lot of ground on Monday.

Back at The Row we had an early dinner at Brew Brothers which was all decked out for Halloween.

The slot machines did not want to pay anything on Monday night, my last night, so that means it’s time to go home.

Tuesday morning it was time to head to the airport after breakfast.

More changes. According to the shuttle driver on the way to the airport, the shuttle no longer leaves SL at the top and bottom of the hour. The times are random and the shuttle just makes a continuous loop between the airport and the 3 hotels so the times will vary.

Goodbye, Reno. Why does my time with you always go so fast?

I had some really great views on the flight home.

Pyramid Lake.

Mount Adams.

Mount Adams in the background and Mount St. Helens in the foreground.

Mount Rainier peeking out above the clouds.

Well, another great trip in the books. I guess change is inevitable. And there are a lot of changes going on at The Row. I love Reno no matter what!

See you again in 2019!

Great report, SeahawkSiren! Beautiful pictures, updates on what the ROW (where did that name come from?) is up to and some nice slot wins. It doesn't get any better.
