Glad you liked it, Ali. I didn't mean to make you the butt of a joke, but I couldn't resist. |

Those are great pics. I do miss the Fitz. the Phoenix not so much, after I walked down 8 flights of stairs at 2am, when some kid on prom night pulled the Alarm, and I found my self in a Alley by my self! LOL. |

It's a very popular part of the Atlantis. There's a bar and an Oyster/Seafood bar, some slots and (I think) a small seating area. Long escalators take you up from the west side of Virginia Street, you can then traverse the sky bridge and then continue down another escalator into the main casino. It's a pretty cool spot. Most casinos have you pretty isolated from the outside world - Here you've got glass all around. You can watch the Virginia Street traffic or the sunset etc - All from the comfort of your slot machine seat! |

This panorama is from a couple of old 35mm slides. Scanned and fairly deftly sewn together. (My apologies to the guys in the Ford trucks out front.) This is from quite some time ago - The 99 cent breakfast is long gone and so has the fantastic Canadian exchange rate that drew us cheapo Canucks like a magnet.

spdmrcht,
This is late 50's or very early 60's Reno. The casinos visible are Harold's Club, the Nevada Club,
a little bit of the Frontier's sign and the large building in the distance is The Mapes Hotel and Casino.
The interior casino scenes from that episode are most likely a sound stage. ... But possibly the Mapes?
