From Oct. 2007 Sigma Derby. Maybe the coolest slot machine ever! I believe this was at the old Horizon in South Lake Tahoe.

The last time I was in Tahoe, they had it at Montbleu casino. I won money
on it. |

It has been gone from the old Horizon now about 5 years. Mont Bleu had two of them, they were both removed close to 2 years ago.
I know of no place now in Northern Nevada that still has a machine.
For the really old gaming machines lovers another one that seems to be gone everywhere is:: Flip it.
Anyone else loved those machines with the shovels moving the quarters closer and closer to the pay chute?

I was thinking of those quarter flippers when I posted the above 'Sigma Derby' pic. When I first ventured to Reno in the mid eighties the 'Flip-its' were in every casino. I think Circus Circus may have something like them in their arcade. (Which surprised me as it seems like gambling for kids). |

Here's something we didn't see often (and never will again) - The Virginian's sign lit up. January 2001.

I was in the Virginian once in 1995.
(I know, not exciting. But somebody has to keep this thread near the top!) |

I can say that I took this photo myself... of the TV. But it has two wonderful things of note.
First, the entrance to the Eldorado which is long gone.
And second is the advertisement for Jeffersons on Ice.
So... anybody... Of what did I take the photo? |

Well, I can take a couple of guesses - Pink Cadillac or Sister Act? |

Wow. Only $400 to restore all of my photos that I had uploaded to Photobucket.
Unless y'alls are chipping in, you'll just have to reminisce about the photos I'd been posting! |
