I've been kinda busy trashing the new Atlantis bait & switch room offer to every bartender in town. Besides, I don't want the Hillary Mafia taking my picture for later use. OPSEC demands I maintain a low profile.

And Shooty..., I know it's a negative expectations game. But when a casino comps me a room and meals I feel honor bound to at least SHOW them my bankroll....but try not to let them hurt me too badly. Will count money tomorrow. Bets are open on $ up or $ down....ALL expenses, gas food tips and gaming.

The Boomtown fiasco was 100% my own fault...well, and the bartender.

Education is expensive....and often painful.

But the Atlantis Bait and switch revenge will BE MINE.

It's almost one and must go to Sands (3rd street bar ) which is the best place to find a power outlet out of the way.

Nite Nite.

Thanks for the updates. Aren't you going to Virginia City this trip? I think you always have a few days there.

Glad to hear the vp is going a bit better.

Yes, that is a good way to get revenge on the bait and switch. Sleep in your van- that will teach them. That was an attempt at humor, but I know it is the principal and I would not be happy about it either.

I am getting amazed at your stamina. You and Hillary are doing great in that category.

This P.R. boondoggle is clearly going to cost the Atlantis...I would NOT want JD in my bad graces if I were a hotelier!

Karma, children...karma.

I talked with JD on the phone yesterday and he's in Virginia City. Get ready for another fun report on his favorite NV city. We demand at least 2 more pages, JD.

Almost 11:00 am and live reporting from C street in front of the Bucket of Blood. When the Silver Queen says, "$ 50 for a room... I say SOLD!" No bait & switch, no resort fees " You can get one of the bigger rooms with a balcony, but I just need a bed and shower.... and only for 6 hours or so.

Live music at the Red Dog last night but almost out of $ 2 bills. I gave the biggest tip to Jett, the former owner of the old Union Brewery biker bar who is now beertending at the Pondo. One BILLION dollars. To hear the full story YOU have to hear it from her. Ask for Jett, give her a two, and ask her what is the largest tip EVER.

Much to my regret, the Mark Twain is now open 24 hours. I used to think that was a good idea. But since judgement is heavily clouded after midnight, heavy gaming is not advised. But drinks are. Have not yet seen the owner of the Mark Twain but no doubt word has spread.

Let me check the web cam to see if you can see my BIG RED VAN in front of the ATM ...stand by..

http://www.visitvirginiacitynv.com/about-virginia-city/live-virginia-city-web-cam.html

See the Bucket logo on the building? just to the left next to the telegraph pole. Please keep an eye on it as the tourist tram pulls out... he just barely misses my rig and I don't want to give up the best parking spot in town.

On today's venture, we will repeat Red Dog, Silver Dollar downstairs (the local hardcore drinkers' bar), Silver Queen (Connie has done a great job fixin the rooms since Tiny passed), Ponderosa, Mark Twain, and maybe the Firehouse since I heard it has new owners. But FIRST... breakfast at either The Palace or the new kitchen at the Delta.

Please send MORE TWOs.... natives expect to be fed. I'm off for my walk.

More reports on request. Anyone you want me to say HI to?

Now almost 10... time to do it again. Might stay up here and blow off the Italian Festival. AND the Mark Twain Casino has "Pick em Poker " on some machines. Will try THAT today, or tomorrow, or next week if I stay.

AND the Atlantis just e mailed me ANOTHER "Complementary Room offer"

And like Lucy....they PROMISE not to pull the football away when I try to kick it.

Hmm, I was going to spend a Thursday night in Yerington in a couple weeks (on my way up from Vegas), you've got me thinking maybe I should scoot over to Virginia City instead. Never stayed there, or played there, just a nice place to drive through usually for me. Did have a nice fall afternoon at the Bucket a couple years ago, that was fun.

Hmmm...

All right- some pictures coming. I hope they still look as good as they did to you at 2 AM.

It looks like the Virginia City diversion has turned out to be "the place".

Shooty- I prefer Hawthorne over Yerrington as a stop over.
The El Capitan is a fun casino with the motel close to it.
