Casino hopping is easy, we buy an 24hr pass for 2$, the south bound
bus stops in front of both casinos, you can get a schedule from the driver
the north bound stops across the side st. from the Atlantis and stops
across the st. from the pepper. next to the Ruby River steak house.
which by the way has very good food.

I'll second BC Dave's recommendation for the Skyway bar at the Atlantis. Easy walk from P Mill. My favorite is playing the bartops and ordering the California Roll or clam chowder at the bar while playing and working my way thru the top shelf wines from great bartenders Tony, John or Missy. Slip them a couple of $ 2 bills and drop my name. AND say hi to Neil at the P Mill cube bar on day shift.

It's a great spot to watch the weather roll in and the parade of cars down Virginia. The only drawback is bar stools with machines tend to fill early and people rarely give them up. Live music at Cabaret Bar downstairs as evening comes...sometimes TWO bands.

Be sure to flash your rated P. Mill card when you get your Atlantis card. AND Atlantis comp points are view able from any machine.

Yeah i know hard to believe we have never been there considering how close it is. We considered walking BUT between drinking and the heat we may not. Lol

So what does showing our Pep card do for us exactly? We will be sure to check out that Skyway. I dont eat seafood of any kind but i still want to check it out. Im stoked they have a band playing too. Thats the one thing i miss about the pep. The live band in the gaming area. Having it over by the Tuscany tower just isnt that same. We really miss that so we are looking forward to it.

Thanks for the tip. Funny you mention Ruby river. I had told my friend we should eat there. Lots of good reviews and way cheaper than the Steakhouse at the Peppermill.

Hey- Alison it sure sounds like you have some great offers at the Pepp. I just returned today from a two night stay at the Peppermill. They set me up in the Tuscany tower on the top floor - 19th floor. However I really think it is only the 18th floor as there is no 13th floor. Check out the elevator buttons. I stayed in the Florence Suite- very nice.

The Oceano is under a heavy remodel and I think it will still be going on for your trip.

Just a quick note on the gaming. I got a W-2G form last night. I hit two royals at the same time on a triple play machine- what luck.

The hotel was full of young teen age girls for what I assume was some softball tournament.

Have a Great trip. Your already off to a good start.

Good Hit! I'm liking the Triple plays, the only Royals I've
hit is on them. JOB keeps me going for quite a while. Got
quads on the deal last trip also. Keep it up.

I thought I just did....LOL. My trip was a quick one. I spent Tuesday at the Atlantis where they had a nice birthday offer for me. I finally ate at the new buffet there and I thought it was OK....but I am not a buffet person. I played at Atlantis in the afternoon and early evening and then over to the Peppermill.

Yes, they have added a lot of new slot machines at the Peppermill. Wednesday they were installing several of those new large curved screen bright graphic type slots. This is the area between the Pub and the Poker room. There are also a lot of new machines to the east of the Cube bar.

Sorry- I never made it to the Cafe Milano. In fact after I hit my jackpot (late afternoon) I forgot to eat dinner. I know that sounds strange, but when I get to a casino, some basic requirements are put aside. Very Happy In fact I only ate one meal while at the Peppermill- chicken noodle soup at the deli. I always get that great homemade soup. I bring my own breakfast bars and have the coffee in the room.

So far this year I am way ahead with my gambling. This was my 2nd taxable for 2016. I hope the streak continues. I was playing deuces wild when I hit two natural royal flushes.

Lol, ok i guess we will count it as your report.

I know what you mean about eating. I tend to do that too when im at the casino. I love that chicken noodle soup and try to get that a few times when i am there. I cant wait to get there!! The next few days will take forever. The weather looks HOT the entire time. We probably are going to head over to Yakima, then down to Kalamath falls, and on to Reno. Last year when we got to the point where we could go Left to Alturus or Right to Susanville, we went right. Supposedly that way is quicker. So we probably will do that route again.

Oh i wanted to ask your opinion on the Atlantis. We were thinking of checking it out. Never have been. They have live music in the casino cabaret so we are looking forward to that. Miss having that at the Pep.

That sounds like a long drive. Be safe is the main thing.

I like the Atlantis very much. Their restaurants are excellent and the rooms are very nice. They have the most comfortable beds that I have found any place. The entertainment seems to be hit and miss. I have been there before where the bands started in the afternoon. On Tuesday I headed over to the Cabaret lounge about 8PM and the place was dark.

The casino seems to be a great place to play: https://www.atlantiscasino.com/reno-events/special-event/2015/09/02/calendar/loosest-slots?utmsource=ATLANTIS&utm_medium=SlotsLanding&utm_campaign=20Looser16

Sorry for the long link.

You can walk down there- about 15 minutes. Be sure you take the right side of the road so that you can take the overhead walkway. It is very unique and a fun place to play and eat.

I doubt we will be walking. Only because it shows being upper 90's to 100 while we are there. I did check out the entertainment schedule. It looks like on weeknights they are supposed to start playing around 8, and 4 pm on fri and sat.

oh and it is a long drive...Usually we do it all in one shot but since we are not leaving until almost 3:00 pm, and its around 12 hours, i doubt we will go all night. Who knows tho,...we just might.
