That's just awful of you, John. We were all enjoying JD's exploits, when you stride in with your stories of intoxication, sex and huge wins. Sounds like fun though!

It's going to be a bad hair day. I just got out of the shower and I must have lost my ONLY comb in the casino. Did I pack one extra of my 246 combs (dollar tree= 10/$1) from home?

Gotta get going.... sounds like a late check out here will cost $ 2,500..

I wonder what the desk clerk is going to react when I ask HIM for HIS signature that I was out before the execution time.

More later.
John...... you owe the ".....REST of the story....."

Oh jeez, Ali...if only. I met up with JD last night at GSR and took a beating on the slots, but more on that never. I went looking for my princess, but it seems all 700 of the policemen were in the casino creating a mob scene. Either she didn't show up or hooked up with a cop.

And yes, BC Dave, I hijacked JD's post. If you ever get back to Reno (hint, hint), I'll certainly muscle in on your trip report, too. Oh by the way, when I call you like I did a week ago, the proper procedure is to answer the phone.

I met up with JD again today for a buffet at his expense and a couple of Heinekens at Shooters at my expense. Then we tried to get married at the Antique Angel Wedding Chapel. Fortunately, they wouldn't do it. Stopped in at Horseshoe Jewelry and was tempted to buy one of them there fancy and overpriced musical clocks that become animated on the hour. Common sense prevailed for once. It would have driven the birds and me nuts.

JD seems to think I have something else to report...hmmmmm.

We went down to the big city (Vancouver) on March 7th. If you called then, well, we were "unable to come to the phone right now". Sorry we missed you and will call you back.

Mmmmmmmm ...... Shooter's! Shocked

Random question. Has the Peppermill put up a new sign out front yet? They had taken done the neon one or were in process of doing that. Just curious.

We may never hear the rest of the story.....or maybe it is just a way to build up the anticipation. Sorry to hear about your princess John, but you should have invited her over to your place to help you feed the birds.

Looking for more stories on this trip- real or made up it doesn't matter.

Alison -

Yes. It's been in the works for 2 or 3 months now, but seems to be complete. The old sign has been replaced with a newer, higher definition video display.

And to all - I haven't added much but I am really enjoying following this thread. Thanks for your participation.

Wow JD, thanks for the awesome details of the trip and congrats on the wins! Sorry to hear that the Treasures kiosk is gone, yes, that thing provided me with tons of free beer and food and what not, but kind of like the Mansion kiosk was at the SL before it went, it really didn't start kicking down good stuff until you were at least third tier level or above in the club. Not the slightest bit surprised about the SL knocking on winners! Sounds like an interesting scene at the GSR...700 cops?! I thought that sheepherder's convention that took place during my last stay was interesting enough. Congrats on pulling off another Reno adventure!
