Have a great time at the HR. I will be interested in hearing about your experience staying at the newest casino. I have been reading about all the recent issues, lawsuits and I see they just fired all the upper managers. There sure are a lot of bad reviews, so I hope it all goes ok. Here is one recent news item--

No it is not a newly built casino building. It used to be the Horizon- before that it was the High Sierra Resort- and before that- if you are old enough it was Sahara Tahoe.

The outside has changed very little and I think it was built in the 60's. The rooms are still the same size (small) and that seems to be a complaint.

Well we did the trip, checked in about 11'15am, no problems until I ask what tower we were in. It was the west tower, a long walk from the casino, the older you get the longer the walk. Go to the room, it was ok, but the bathroom was very small. My wife tried to reset the thermostat but it wasn't having any part of it, it was set at 72 and no mater what you did it came back to the org. setting, so we turned it off and opened the windows as far as they would go, about, 2", Unpacked and left to the casino, but before we could leave we had to slam the door shut to get it to lock. Started the first promo. 250 points earned gets you 5000 points on your card. We set at adjoining machines and did it. 6hrs later we checked to see if the points were on our cards, Not. went to the slot booth told the girl the situation and
all I got was a deer in the headlights look. I explained the promo to her and she said do you have the mailer, I said yes, but it's in the room. Sooo we march the march to and from the room again. She is gone so we explain to the guy there and he really cares and goes in the back and a few mins. later out he and she comes and tells us the points are on the card. I reminded her the wife did it also so she took her info and the points showed up post haste. I won't do the restaurant rant at this time, but we didn't get much sleep in the west tower, with the doors slamming even the elevator doors slammed all night and drunks screaming and such. If we go back it will only be in the main tower or not at all. Not that it's any better, we don't know yet.

Thanks for the report. It sure does not sound like a very good experience for you. A lot of little complains really add up. Your trip sounds much like other reports that I have heard. Lot of room issues and employees that are uniformed or seem to have a "I don't care attitude.

So where did you eat at the Hard Rock that was so bad?
