1. The $10 resorts free, which has been mentioned here peviously.
2. The shuttle to/from airport is GONE. https://www.caesars.com/harrahs-reno/hotel/airport-shuttle-schedule
3. Prices have gone up about 50%.

Bottom line-in October we stayed at Harrah's for $23 with no resort fee and a shuttle. This October it would be, with resort fee, $44 and no shuttle. Hello Circus. Wink

We will be staying at Harrah's in early July. We will be driving in this time so the shuttle doesn't matter to us. It's our 1st time staying at Harrah's. When I checked hotel rates from all the Reno properties Harrah's had us comped, so there we will stay. The resort fee's are coming to all casino/hotels and are even now charged at indian casinos. I hope you have a good stay in October. We have stayed at C.C. several times both here and Las Vegas and I am determined to never stay there again. It is my own personal opinion why I wont stay at C.C. again and it deals mostly with strollers and poor service. The last time we stayed at C.C. Reno we did fly in and called for the shuttle from the direct phone at the airport and received no answer. The phone rang for 15 minutes before I hung up. We got on the shuttle to Eldorado and hiked to C.C. with our baggage. I truly hope you don't have the same problem we did.

Hi,

Yes, some friends of mine that still live in Reno let me know about this, such a shame! There are a couple of things I've seen lately that could be the reasoning behind it.

It appears that the Caesars main operating unit filed for bankruptcy protection back in January, as a result of legacy debt left over from when the Harrah's merger took place back in 2008. Although the entertainment division and individual casinos are supposedly unaffected, I'm sure everybody is doing everything they can along the way to offset expenses:

Regarding Harrah's Reno specifically, I also recall seeing a couple of articles that the property won a reduction in its taxable value some time back, which caused a lot of confusion:

There were also many, many layoffs at the various casinos, not just Reno, which is unfortunate.

Not sure what they've got in store for it, but everyone keeps saying it's in need of $19 million of improvements. Anxious to see how it aspires. I personally still feel very lucky that I was able to stay there every three days for well over a year with all room charges, resort fees, and taxes being waived...I doubt that would be happening in the same scenario these days, Diamond status or not. It appears that during my absence, I got bumped all the way back down to Gold status, so it was fun while it lasted!
