That's going to be WAY cheaper than 14 hours INSIDE a casino.

If you had a choice, spring or fall would be alot better, but winter, you
really have to check the weather. They have had floods in death valley!
Ya never know what your going to get. I came back from reno yesterday
it snowed a little sat. night, sun am I drove to minden for lunch, going
over 88. no chain controls but I had almost whiteout snow going up
the east side. Think like a boy scout, Be Prepared! But Have fun.

Now, that's the coolest dang driving video ever. Honestly, I wish I had forty-odd minutes in which to do nothing else, 'cuz it's strangely hypnotically engaging.

Full credit to the creator; that's freakin' awesome, as the kids might say.

Well, we did it and enjoyed the trip. It took about 7 1/2 hours with stops and we didn't hit any bad weather. It was not boring at all since we saw some new stuff along the way like Hawthorne and Goldfields. We stayed one night at Harrah's (blah as usual) and two nights at the Pep in a Tuscany Suite. Had a great time at the Peppermill, not so much at Harrah's. We got a free pass to Bingo (we NEVER play) and my husband won the coverall for $1750. We would probably do it again and make more stops such as a side trip to Scotty's Castle. Been to DV many times but never that far north.

Thanks again for all the advice.
